Think of this release as a careful second set of eyes. In a busy practice, the small things slip by - a status that flips by accident, a message that sends twice, a detail that doesn't quite match the official record. StrataEMR watches for those moments and steps in before a quick click becomes something you have to undo later.
The vibe of last night's release is thoughtful pauses and clear verification. We're introducing real-time CMS NPI registry checks during staff setup, adding safeguards against accidental case reactivations on the schedule, streamlining automated message delivery, and ensuring multi-tab template edits save cleanly.
Here's what moved with this release.
Preventing Accidental Case Reactivations - Thom gave the schedule a moment of pause to prevent accidentally moving an Inactive case back to Active. A case’s status now updates only after at least one real modification is made to the schedule entry (accompanied by a clear warning prompt), ensuring status changes happen on purpose.
Automated CMS NPI Registry Checks - Ann added an automated registry check to staff setup. When saving a staff member with an NPI, StrataEMR compares their name and active status against the CMS NPI Registry. If any details differ, a comparison pop-up lets you instantly adopt the official registry values, keep your existing entries, or review further.
Single-Delivery Scheduled Messages - Elise updated a background messaging job to ensure system notifications, such as Held Claims updates, arrive only once without duplicate sends.
Organization Insights Online Viewing - Rayyan removed a stray "Download as PDF" button from the Organization Insights report, keeping the display clean and focused for this report designed for on-screen viewing.
Multi-Tab Template Saving - Thom resolved an issue where editing templates across multiple browser tabs simultaneously could cause unexpected save behavior. Templates now save cleanly and reliably, even when multitasking across tabs.
Some of this week’s work happens behind the scenes, quietly keeping things humming or laying groundwork for a future release.
Admin-Default Tickets - Ann configured new tickets originating from StrataPT to default to Admin-level visibility. Starting with a focused audience prevents unnecessary inbox clutter across the practice while allowing conversations to expand to full clinic visibility whenever needed.
Seamless Thread Switching - Thom fixed a minor visual latency bug where a previous organization’s name could briefly display on a thread when rapidly toggling between ticket threads.
See you on the next update!
