A watchmaker's bench rewards precision. The whole mechanism can drift out of time or stop working entirely if a gear is cut a hair too wide, a mainspring is wound too tight, or a screw isn't properly set. When every component is fit just right, it just runs.
Today's release is a bench full of small recalibrations. We've made improvements to the schedule based on the feedback we received, taught authorizations to recalculate themselves as changes are made on the fly, tuned claim-scrubbing rules across several payers, and smoothed out a handful of scheduling controls that were sticking.
The Watch Face. What your team sees and touches every day: your schedule, documentation, and the controls up front.
Schedule Toolbar - Bob removed the auto-close behavior from the schedule toolbar. It now stays open until you close it yourself, and remembers whether it was open or closed as you move between days or come back to the schedule.
Schedule Legend - Bob made sure that the pop-up when editing the schedule settings showed on top of everything else.
Responsive Date Buttons - Thom re-aligned the schedule's date advancement buttons in a rare case that they stopped responding to clicks.
Unread Message Indicator - Thom smoothed out the logic behind the dashboard's unread message indicator so it reflects what's actually waiting for you.
Improved Authorization Counts - Ben taught the platform to recalculate a patient's authorization the moment it changes mid-stream, like flipping from visit-based to unit-based tracking, so the numbers stay accurate without a manual recount.
Patient Portal Payments - Ben resolved an extremely rare case where a patient’s payment on a shared device in a practice could get attributed to the wrong patient account if the confirmation page was left open and reloaded after switching patients.
Patient Payment Application Report - Ben improved the Patient Payment Application report in cases so the order they are shown matches the order StrataEMR applied them.
The Workbench. Behind-the-scenes tooling, rule-tuning, and the next mechanism taking shape.
Sharper Claim-Scrubbing Rules - Paul collaborated with Dante and Tyler to tune claim-scrubbing rules across several payers this week, clearing up modifier and adjustment-code mismatches that were generating avoidable claim errors for affected practices.
Consolidated Medicaid Rulesets - Elise continued consolidating how sub-plans and Medicaid payers map into our claim-scrubbing rulesets, tightening the foundation those rules run on.
Smarter Multi-Visit Payer Lookups - David improved how our automated payer-portal lookups handle cases with multiple dates of service, so the right visit gets matched every time.
Clearer Document Trails - David added a reference back to the originating item on documents uploaded by practices, giving our team a clearer trail to follow when auditing.
Accurate EOB Check Numbers - David corrected our automated EOB processing so it captures the right check number instead of a nearby reference number.
[Sneak Peek] Online Patient Registration - The team is building out the first version of a shiny new online patient registration flow that will let a patient click a link from your website, verify their phone number, upload their documents, and land as a new case in the Referral Manager ready for your team to contact and get started.
