Product Update

Curb Appeal - October 30th, 2026

Oct 30, 2026

Halloween is tomorrow, which means every house on the block is deciding how to greet its visitors. This week we gave StrataEMR’s front door the full treatment: porch light on, decorations up, and a bowl of full-size candy bars waiting for your patients. Then we slipped inside to touch up the hallways, with fun-size treats in multiple rooms.

The theme of this release is delighting, not frightening: a brand-new Patient Portal experience for your patients and a wave of visual refreshes for the pages your team uses all day.

Here’s what moved:

For your Patients

framed patient portal

Bob unveiled a completely redesigned Patient Portal, rolling out to your patients today. All existing patient links will continue to work automatically, with no setup required. Here's what's inside:

  • Balances & Payments Front and Center - The new home page uses an intuitive card layout that puts balances owed, including same-day estimated visit costs, right up top. Patients can pay online anytime if your clinic has credit card processing enabled.

  • Actionable Intake To-Do Lists - Assigned intake paperwork now appears as a clean checklist with a running completion count. It automatically tidies itself away once everything is signed and submitted.

  • Appointments Tab with Add-to-Calendar - A dedicated Appointments tab lets patients add upcoming visits directly to their personal digital calendars, pre-filled with clinic directions, contact numbers, portal links, and automated reminders.

  • Mobile-First Navigation - A persistent bottom navigation bar makes toggling between Home, Appointments, and Billing seamless.

For your Front Desk Team

Refreshed Demographics & Engagement Views - Ann and Thom refreshed the visual design of the Demographics and Patient Engagement pages. Everything stays right where your team expects it, now dressed in the modern styling rolling out across StrataEMR.

visit details modal

Tidy Visit Details & Mobile Appointment Notes - Rayyan streamlined the new Visit Details modal to display only active appointment notifications, removing empty placeholder blocks to keep visit notes concise. He also brought appointment notifications directly to the Mobile Schedule, giving traveling therapists immediate access to gate codes, parking instructions, and critical arrival notes in the field.

For your Clinical Team

charge advice

Streamlined Charge Advice Table - Elise redesigned the Charge Advice table for faster, easier data entry. Columns now flow smoothly from Charge Type through Minutes, Units, and Billed to an Assistant Involved toggle, while Facility and Place of Service remain in the row below. This marks the first step toward bringing even more guided charge assistance directly inside clinical notes.

For Practice Management and Billing

Clearer Onboarding Roadmap - Ann updated the headers and step progression on the Onboarding page, giving new practices a much clearer visual sense of where they stand on their launch roadmap.

See you on the next update!
