Open Doors & Clear Thresholds - October 16th, 2026

Oct 16, 2026

Every patient's care starts at the front door. Before anyone crosses the threshold to their first visit, your team should be able to easily see who is missing details like an authorization and who is ready to go.

This release welcomes the new Intake Management page along with a few updates for tasks, billing, and reporting.

Here’s what's new:

For your Front Desk team

Intake Management

Welcome to Intake Management - The Referral Management page has outgrown its name, so Ann renamed it Intake Management since it now covers more than referrals. New patients now start with an "Intake" status, so each case reaches the right team before it's marked Active.

Authorization at a Glance - Rayyan added an authorization column to the Intake Management list that displays whether a case has a valid authorization on file. Your team can see which cases are still awaiting authorization details and which are confirmed and ready to schedule.

Closing the Door on Discharged Tasks - Thanks to Ann, when a patient is discharged, their deferred Unscheduled Patient and Expiring Plan of Care tasks now clear automatically.

For Practice Management and Billing

More from the Magnifying Glass - Rayyan expanded the details behind the magnifying glass in the Organization Insights report. Appointment dates now link directly to that specific day on the schedule, and the Pending Appointments view now displays each appointment’s status and note for fast, contextual review.

Default Self-Pay Rates - Ann added a new section on the Workflows page within Settings to set your practice’s default self-pay rates for evaluations and regular visits. New self-pay policies will automatically start with those rates filled in, while still giving you the flexibility to adjust them case by case.

See you on the next one!
