Product Update

What’s New - April 21st, 2026

Apr 21, 2026

Spring cleaning season has arrived at StrataPT, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. We had some instances where StrataEMR wasn’t delivering the fast and responsive experience we strive to provide to our users. We know how much every second counts in a busy clinic, and this week the team has been head-down in the engine room scrubbing the architecture to get that high-performance feel back to where it belongs.

This release looks like a clinic that just had a thorough chart audit, a major facility upgrade, and a new sign on the door. From precision-tuned caching to the brand-new front door of a Menu Bar, we’re clearing out the cobwebs to ensure everything runs cleaner, faster, and smarter for your team.

Performance Improvements

  • Ben shipped a number of additional performance optimizations, continuing the ongoing effort to keep StrataEMR running at its best.
  • David optimized how StrataEMR caches and retrieve patient policy information. As a result, this has given the clinical documentation experience a slight speed boost.
  • David smoothed out an issue where, in some cases, adding an existing patient to the schedule could cause your experience to slow down. The result is a leaner, faster experience when working with patients on your schedule.
  • Thom has temporarily paused the Patient Balance and Collection fields on the Financial Card within cases while we continue to investigate their impact on StrataEMR's performance. We're moving ahead with precision rather than speed - especially if it means maintaining a rock-solid experience. These two important pieces of information will return as soon as possible.

New

CleanShot 2026-04-21 at 12

  • StrataEMR - Bob rolled out a significant upgrade to the StrataEMR menu that replaced the old Knowledge Base link with a link to the all-new Documentation experience. The new header now gives you quick access to your active patient list, the new documentation site at https://docs.stratapt.com, and a link to get help from our team, all without adding any extra weight to your workflow. Clean navigation to all your favorite places, one click away.

Improved

  • Internal - Paul has expanded Mako AI's ability to better manage coverage denials. When Mako detects a scenario where coverage was terminated or a patient was not insured, it will automatically post that update to the case in question and take the appropriate action on it.

  • Internal - David improved how Mako manages documents uploaded to StrataPT for review. This provides our internal teams with a richer data set whenever a deep-dive investigation is necessary, upholding our commitment to being remarkably transparent and showing our work.

  • Internal - Bob improved how Mako shows information to our RCM team when they're working EOBs.

Fixed

  • StrataEMR - Thom resolved an issue on the new Upload page where some users had trouble opening previously uploaded files. Everything is accessible and flowing correctly again.

See you on the next update!
