If you want to know why a Mako shark can hit 60 mph, you have to look at its skin. It’s covered in dermal denticles—tiny, tooth-like scales that are shaped to reduce drag and noise. By smoothing out the water as it passes over the shark, these denticles eliminate the turbulence that would slow a lesser predator down.
This week, we’ve been adding a few "dermal denticles" of our own to StrataPT. From a new one-click Financial Card in your sidebar to sophisticated RCM logic that prevents redundant tasks, we’re focused on removing the digital drag from your day. We’re maturing the system so that every click is high-speed, low-friction, and perfectly hydrodynamic.
StrataEMR - Thom has introduced a new layer of real-time financial visibility directly within the patient case sidebar. You’ll now see a dedicated Financial Card showing the Payment Due Today and the Patient Balance at a glance. Each amount links directly to the payments page. By turning a multi-step navigation into a single click, we’re ensuring that your front office can focus on the patient, not the screen.

Internal - Elise matured the logic behind how we handle training questions and tickets pending responses in the AR queue, at the request of our team (shoutout to Jadon and Summer).
Internal - Elise has leveled up Mako’s compliance engine, enabling individual business rules to "call" each other. This allows us to compose complex, sophisticated compliance logic from smaller, reusable building blocks rather than duplicating work. It’s a more elegant way to handle the intricate scenarios your payers require.
Internal - Along with this new modularity, Elise added a verification step to ensure rules only fire when they have been explicitly activated. This ensures that as our logic grows more complex, it remains perfectly predictable and stable.
Website - Bret resolved a subdomain mismatch on our QA environment that was temporarily blocking the loading of live metrics, case studies, and comparison data. Everything is back to running smoothly, ensuring our internal testing environments perfectly mirror the high performance of our production site.
Internal - Elise has reinforced our Aged AR follow-up items by re-introducing the Additional Info field. This provides our RCM team with immediate strategic context directly on the item, eliminating the need to dig into claim details separately and speeding up the path to resolution.
See you on the next update!
