We’re still riding last week’s nature documentary energy this week. This release in particular is giving strong electroreception vibes. If you want to know how a Mako shark finds its prize in murky water, look at the tiny pores on its snout called the Ampullae of Lorenzini. These are specialized sensors that allow the shark to detect the faint electrical pulses of its prey. It’s essentially a biological noise filter that turns a chaotic ocean into a clear, navigable map.
This week, the team has been fine-tuning StrataPT’s own version of electroreception. From Ben’s new deep-dive AR report that senses balances hidden in murky aging date ranges, to Elise’s sophisticated strategy for mastering the complex currents of Medicaid, we’re focused on honing your practice’s senses. We’re filtering out the noise so you can see the signal, find the right door, and keep your momentum moving forward with total clarity.
Internal - Ben has delivered a powerful new lens for our Operations team: a Global AR Aging by Insurance report. Based on specifications from Mariah, this report provides a sophisticated, multi-level view of outstanding balances. The team can now sense exactly where revenue is sitting by drilling down from the payer level to the organization, all the way to individual patients and claims. Identifying exactly which payers across all customers are in a >90-day bucket is now just a click away.
StrataEMR - Elise aligned the Medicare of Idaho payer configuration so that CPT 97026 is correctly capped at one unit.
Internal - Elise has also delivered a major milestone in our strategy for handling the intricate web of Medicaid replacement plans. By utilizing Sub-Plans in combination with Mako AI, we’re continuing to reduce layers of manual work and move toward Mako AI-powered intelligence for each payer. This evolution ensures that we’re accounting for the ever-changing nuances and by making sure that billing logic automatically (and accurately) follows the plan, providing a reliable path for clinics treating patients across multiple borders.
StrataEMR - Elise reinforced our documentation guardrails by adding a unit-cap warning to the treatment narrative. If inherited charge advice exceeds your organization’s max units, the system now provides a proactive heads up, continuing to ensure your billing remains clean and compliant before it reaches the payer.
StrataEMR - Elise also improved the way the Billing Submission Rate on the Practice Analytics report calculates the date when a clinician completes their documentation. Previously, clinicians with prior claim holds in place could incorrectly see a longer average days until submission.
StrataEMR - Thom ensured that when you defer a task, your Task Instructions follow it. Your context is now sticky, moving forward with the task so the next person (or future you) has the full story.
StrataEMR - Thom removed the Financial Card from the template editing screen. By showing the card the door in contexts where no patient is loaded, we’re keeping your workspace lean and focused.
StrataEMR - Based on a sharp catch from Dante, David updated the patient portal to ensure your patients are always headed to the right front door. Appointment reminders now display the facility address instead of the remit address in the Patient Portal footer, ensuring the patient’s real-world journey is as frictionless as their digital one.
StrataEMR - David performed a surgical reclassification of CPT 92526 (Swallowing Therapy). Previously categorized in our ruleset as an evaluation code, it is now correctly identified as a treatment code. This behind-the-scenes adjustment ensures that Initial Evaluation Date lookup fields are pulling with 100% accuracy across all your documents.
StrataEMR - Thom smoothed out the interaction on our patient engagement forms. Even if a user is moving at predator speeds and taps Next on their phone before the form realizes a field is done, the system now forces a final save before navigating to ensure nothing gets left off of completed forms.
StrataEMR - Thom also refined the pain drawing element in the health questionnaire. It now responds to screen sizes dynamically at load-time rather than locking in a size, ensuring it looks perfect on every device.
Internal - Paul resolved a technical hurdle in our remit processing data, ensuring that incoming payment information flows through the system without a single "out-of-range" ripple.
See you on the next update!
