If the theme of the week is anything, it’s "Now you see it, now you don’t." Between Thom building a tool to make unwanted appointments disappear in bulk and David laying the groundwork to hide irrelevant templates, we’re on a mission to declutter your screen. We also spent some time fixing a few things that weren’t supposed to disappear, like that helpful notification telling you someone else is viewing a case, or, for some folks using the Appointment Manager tool, your actual login session.
Whether we're adding smarter guardrails for the Mako AI Scribe or giving the "Place of Service" its own dedicated spotlight in the footer, we’re continuing our work to make StrataEMR feel a little more intuitive and a little less like a scavenger hunt.
Early Access
New - If you’ve ever needed to quickly delete an appointment and didn’t like having to find each individually on the schedule, Thom is your hero. With the new Appointment Manager (now in Early Access) you can see upcoming appointments for a case, select one or more, and remove them from the schedule. 
Fixed - Clinics using the new Appointment Manager feature along with the new case header found that the button to manage the plan of care within the patient’s appointment list occasionally brought them back to the login screen. Thom has sleuthed out the issue and corrected it.
Fixed - We heard that the notification telling you which other staff members were viewing a case had gone missing. Thom tracked it down and gave it a permanent, visible home in the sidebar.
General Release
New
StrataEMR - David added a Case Type Required dropdown to templates. It’s a small change for now, but it’s prepping for a future where we can automatically hide templates that don't match the case you're in. (Think: less scrolling, more treating).
StrataEMR - In preparation for the future general release of Mako AI Scribe, Thom created a new staff permission to limit access to the feature on a per-person basis from within the Staff setup page.
Improved
StrataEMR - Paul updated the diagnosis code behavior, thanks to Ashley’s callout that aftercare Z codes may be allowed as a primary diagnosis.
StrataEMR - Ben improved how the Place of Service shows up on completed notes. You’ll now see it clearly called out in the footer next to the service facility, with some tightened rules to ensure the right one is selected from the start.
Internal - Ben also added a new internal button to make it easier for the team to work with invoice line items.
Internal - David enabled a new automation that will allow certain inbound documents to process automatically, creating corresponding work orders for our team when needed.
