They say time is a social construct, but in an EMR, it’s actually just a lot of complex math. This week, we realized that "time" was behaving a bit differently depending on where you were standing—or how many tasks you were counting. Thom spent some time making sure our dashboard task math actually matches reality, while David sat down with our database to ensure timeframes like "the last 30 days" means the same thing for everyone, regardless of their time zone.
We’ve also made it easier to find your patients when scheduling (shoutout to both the MM/DD/YYYY and MM-DD-YYYY crowds) and ensured that our AI scribe won't tap out early during those extra-long evals. Meanwhile, Ben has been in the engine room fine-tuning our invoice reports to make sure the numbers aren't just accurate, but also easier to read in the future.
StrataEMR - David is making your patient search a little bit easier. You can now search a patient by their date of birth using the format MM/DD/YYYY or MM-DD-YYYY when searching on the schedule.
Early Access - David increased the maximum recording duration of Mako AI Scribe to make sure that even longer-running Evals cal be captured accurately.
Early Access - Thom improved the way the Mako AI Scribe “Recording in Progress” warning works in relation to switching between Text Editing and Interactive modes on a note.
Internal - Ben put in work on a future update that will bring a summary section to the StrataPT Invoices Report.
Internal - Ben also made an update to allow our internal finance teams to see customer invoices in a more efficiently organized way.
StrataEMR - Thom caught wind that, after a previous update to the Tasks column on the Dashboard, the the task counts do not match the number of tasks shown when clicked. He’s updated this so that the counts and the results match correctly.
StrataEMR - As part of that same feedback, Thom also found that the “No Staff Assigned” option disappeared from the Staff Assigned column. He’s reintroduced it, meaning clinics can once again filter down to tasks that don’t have a staff member assigned.
StrataEMR - David fixed the way that reports pull data when time frames like “last 30 days” are set in relation to the organization’s time zone and the database’s time zone. This will allow for more representative reporting, regardless of your time zone.
StrataEMR - David also made a change to the way that the payment button works during moments of slower internet speed. Previously the payment button could be clicked more than once while loading the payment. Now the payment button will go away after clicking it once, preventing any duplicate payments.
StrataEMR - For clinics that use the additional rule to check for a progress note every 30 days (in addition to the rule for a progress note every 10 visits), Ben updated the way the warning works so that progress notes and evals can be successfully saved after this timeframe has been breeched, allowing the clinic to get back into the correct cadence for the patient.
