July 1st is an important marker on the calendar as the midpoint of the year. Outside of the plot for a dramatic sports movie, halftime isn't when you throw out the playbook and start from scratch; it’s when you make those vital micro-adjustments, standardize your calls, and clear up background ambiguity so your team can execute flawlessly for the rest of the year.
Today's release hits that mid-year stride. We are focusing on clearer system statuses, more structured formatting, and more reliable database timing, so as we kick off the second half of 2026, your platform keeps running transparently and without guesswork.
The front line. Updates and refinements you’ll interact with firsthand within StrataEMR.
Mako AI Scribe Clarity - Thom upgraded Mako AI Scribe to handle those rare moments when a transcription recording returns completely empty. Instead of leaving clinicians staring at a blank, unexplained box wondering if the software froze, Mako now displays a clear, informative status message. This lets you know instantly that no audio data was captured, removing the guesswork from your charting flow.
The engine room. Internal improvements you won’t see on your screen, but you’ll certainly feel the impact of.
Granular Refund Tracking - Paul refined the language used on our internal transaction summaries to clearly differentiate between distinct types of patient refunds. The summary now explicitly signals whether a refund is driven by interest owed versus a standard overpayment.
Standardized Document Dating - David introduced a consistent formatting structure for how Mako reads and catalogs dates when classifying incoming documents. Standardizing date styles into one clean format eliminates background clutter and speeds up indexing.
Extracted Data Retention - David also reinforced how we retain extracted data when an inbound document gets marked complete. Historic data needed for any follow-up investigation now stays put when the work wraps up.
Claim-First Processing - Ben smoothed out a precise background timing behavior where a patient’s financial arrangement could try to execute before the corresponding insurance claim had finished processing. Ben recalibrated the sequence so that internal alerts now wait for the claim to finish processing first, keeping your payment flows in the right order.
See you on the next update!
