You can love how an outfit looks on the rack, but you don’t really know how it performs until you step into the fitting room with it. We announced the upcoming new sidebar for the schedule earlier this week but, for some, this morning was the first time you heard about it. Within a few hours your feedback made it clear that pieces of the new layout were getting in the way, and we rolled it back the same morning, before it could impact a full day’s work.
The idea (consolidating your waiting list, cancellations, and deletions into one always-visible panel) is part of a bigger vision for making the schedule easier to work from. But once it was in real hands, a few situations turned out to make your schedule harder to view, not easier. So rather than force an uncomfortable fit, we pulled it back. Your feedback is already shaping what comes next.

Schedule Sidebar (ROLLED BACK) - Thom moved the Waiting List, Cancellations, and Deletions into a fixed sidebar alongside the schedule. As noted above, we pulled this back and we’re reworking the approach.
Catching Medicare Replacement Plans - Elise expanded Mako's logic for catching Medicare Replacement Plans during eligibility checks. When a replacement plan is detected that isn't listed in StrataEMR, Mako deactivates the outdated Medicare policy, leaves an explanatory note on the case, and opens a guided task to add the right payer, helping to prevent denied claims.
Actionable Invalid Patient Statement Address Tasks - Elise added two tailored options to the "Invalid Patient Statement Address" task. Staff can now either complete the task or update the statement with the new address and queue it up for the next weekly mailing batch.
Closing Closed Tickets - Elise also cleaned up caching on the Active Tickets page. Closed tickets now clear out immediately. When a ticket is closed, it stays closed.
Resolving Documentation Tasks - Thom fixed an issue where tasks linked to deleted clinical documents couldn't be manually closed. Staff can now clear these tasks out to keep their queue neatly organized, even if the underlying document is gone.
Instant Authorization Updates - David cleared out stale caching on the Policies page. Newly added or edited authorizations now display on screen immediately, no more guessing whether your changes saved.
Refreshed Statement Ledger Snapshots - Ben refined ledger processing so paper statements are always built from a freshly updated balance snapshot, eliminating occasional dollar-amount mismatches on printed statements.
Reliable Mako AI Scribe Transfers - Thom resolved an issue where clicking "Transfer to Documentation" in Mako AI Scribe would occasionally fail to move notes over. Transfers now seamlessly thread into your documentation every time.

Extended EOB Reading Time - David gave Mako extra processing time when interpreting large uploaded EOB documents. Mako now reads through larger files completely without timing out, returning accurate, full data instead of blank fields.
Collapsible Sections - David also added collapsible section controls within the internal inbound document tool, letting our teams minimize sections and tailor their workspace to reach key information faster.
