True progress rarely happens in a single, massive motion. Instead, it is built through compound momentum, the practice of taking what worked yesterday, returning to the forge, and making it just a little bit sharper today.
This week’s updates reflect that spirit of continuous evolution. From introducing brand-new billing configurations that expand where a clinic could deliver care, to deploying proactive code validation guardrails, we are focused on tightening our existing logic. You'll also notice our team is doubling down on iteration itself, polishing and evolving the very systems we highlighted in recent weeks to ensure they keep pushing forward.
The front line. Updates and refinements you’ll interact with firsthand within StrataEMR.
Proactive Guardrails - Dante introduced proactive CPT code validation for a specific Medrisk add-on billing sequence. If a clinician accidentally attempts to bill an add-on code without first attaching the mandatory primary code, the system will now surface an immediate warning. This catches sequencing errors at the point of care, ensuring your claims leave the building clean and fully optimized for reimbursement.
True Authorization Counts - Ben resolved a tracking discrepancy within our authorization usage logic. Some clinics were seeing their visit counts occasionally appear exhausted even when patients had authorized visits remaining. Ben corrected the underlying math so the numbers on your screen perfectly match the realities of your authorizations on file.
Instant Ticket Loading - Thom fixed a loading delay on the Tickets page that was causing the list of tickets to appear truncated or cut short when the page was first loaded. While the list would automatically self-correct when the cache refreshed, Thom tightened the logic so the entire ticket list populates seamlessly right from the start.
The engine room. Internal improvements you won’t see on your screen, but you’ll certainly feel the impact of.
Expanding Community Care Settings - Elise added Place of Service 4 (Homeless Shelter) as an internal option within a clinic’s billing configuration. This update empowers properly enrolled clinics to seamlessly extend their care to unhoused patients in shelter environments, ensuring those encounters can be properly documented, compliant, and billed without administrative roadblocks.
The Iterative Engine - The work never truly stops. This cycle, the engineering team returned to the lab to layer improvements onto several systems we've touched on recently. By continually auditing our internal dashboards, ticket management pipelines, and Mako automations, we are systematically tightening the code, refining the logic, and ensuring every system runs even faster than the last release left it.
See you on the next update!
