Whether you’re rooting for New York or San Antonio right now (or you’re just waiting for football season), there’s one thing everyone can agree on: nobody likes a bad call. That’s what a ref's replay review is for, stop the clock, check the tape, get it right.
This week’s release adds a few replay moments of its own. A new confirmation step before closing tickets, a retired rule that was silently adjusting charge amounts, and a fix for an internal punctuation discrepancy that was swallowing internal notes, and a fan favorite finally coming off the bench. Every call, confirmed.
The new Task experience is going live for everyone on Monday. Mako-guided steps, direct document links, and your most-used actions right at the top of every task. If you signed up for early access, you're already geared up. If you didn't, tighten your laces and get ready to join in on the fun.

The front line. Updates and refinements you’ll interact with firsthand within StrataEMR.
Direct Ticket Confirmation - Elise reengineered how ticket closures are handled by introducing a new "Is this ticket complete?" Yes/No prompt directly into the ticket message box. This surfaces automatically when a ticket appears to have been fully answered. Selecting Yes cleanly closes out the ticket, while selecting No keeps the thread wide open so your conversation can seamlessly continue.
True Billing Fidelity - Elise also retired a legacy piece of logic that could automatically overwrite charge amounts with a payer's flat-rate visit amount whenever one was configured at the payer level, regardless of what was actually billed. This old logic has been decommissioned. Moving forward, charges will always reflect exactly what was submitted, returning the flat-rate field to its true role as a helpful verification check.
Singular Deferred Tasks - Thom closed an operational gap that allowed duplicate deferred tasks to accidentally be generated on the exact same item. This new safeguard ensures each deferred task stays strictly singular, keeping your work queues clean and your follow-up workflows unambiguous.
The engine room. Internal improvements you won’t see on your screen, but you’ll certainly feel the impact of.
Ground-Up Denial System Refresh - Elise rebuilt our internal New Denial tracking engine. This comprehensive upgrade modernizes how denial tickets are routed, created, reported, and classified. This gives our RCM team a highly specialized, dedicated lane to track and trend denied claims with the same depth and visibility that they have for other follow-ups.
The Apostrophe Patch - Paul resolved a character-handling behavior that was preventing internal notes from saving on specific tickets whenever the text included an apostrophe ('). The system now processes standard text and punctuation smoothly without breaking stride.
Full-Field Dashboard Visibility - After Christina flagged that a specific internal team dashboard was failing to populate data when all filter fields were selected simultaneously, Thom optimized the underlying query. The dashboard now loads consistently and accurately, displaying 100% of the data across all selected fields.
See you on the next update!
