Today's release feels like a perfect 50/50 split between "polishing the present" and "reimagining the future."
On one hand, David has been on a one-man mission to track down every tiny hurdle, from capitalized emails to duplicate drafts, and turn them into smooth, paved paths. On the other hand, we’re pulling back the curtain on two major reimaginations: a Task Modal that helps you resolve issues more quickly and a Knowledge Base that’s stepping into the modern era. Efficiency is about moving fast, yes, but it’s also about not having to trip over small hurdles along the way. Whether we’re building better guardrails for your documentation or making our guides public and searchable, we’re focused on removing the friction so you can focus on the patients.

The new Task Modal brings a cleaner, more organized layout to every task in StrataEMR, whether you’re accessing them from the Tasks page or directly within a patient case.

Clearer Steps to Resolution: Regardless if the task instructions were generated by Mako AI, your StrataPT team, or a member of your team, you’ll now see a dedicated "How to Resolve" section, providing direct guidance on next steps.
Streamlined Actions: Edit instructions, add contact notes, defer tasks, or reassign them - all within a logical, top-to-bottom flow.
Task-Specific Resolution: The "Select an Action" section at the bottom dynamically updates based on the task type, ensuring you always have the right options for resolving each task.
Coming Soon: We’re already working on an update to include direct document links inside the modal for document-specific tasks. Speed is the name of the game.
Coming Soon: A Reimagined Knowledge Base
We know our current Knowledge Base has seen better days, so we’re building a brand-new home for all things StrataPT. We’re moving away from outdated screenshots and links toward a public-by-default, searchable, and modern documentation hub.

Key Highlights:
- Simple, Intentional Hierarchy: We’re organizing content into three clear areas: Start Here (onboarding and basics), Guides (feature-specific deep dives), and Documentation (technical references).
- Public Access: No more hunting for login credentials just to learn how a feature works. Our guides will be publicly available on the internet making them easy to find and share.
- Interactive Guides: Expect more than just walls of text. We’re building out resource-rich guides for heavy-hitting features like Mako AI Scribe to help you ramp up quickly.
- Referential Linking: Soon, you’ll be able to link directly from a specific area in StrataEMR to its corresponding page in the Knowledge Base.
Improved
- StrataEMR - David updated the “Please resolve insurance errors before completing this document” warning. Instead of a vague block, StrataEMR will now tell you exactly what’s wrong, like a missing 4-digit extension on a zip code. Less guessing, more getting paid.
Fixed
StrataEMR - A few eagle-eyed clinicians noticed they could accidentally open and edit documents that were already completed and billed. David restored the warning pop-up and the proper document amendment flow, ensuring your billed records stay secure and compliant.
StrataEMR - David fixed rare a behavior where, when the date of service for an existing draft clinical document is changed within the first minute of being opened (before the first automatic background save), a duplicate clinical document with the new date of service could be created.
StrataEMR - In very rare cases, renaming a facility at the exact millisecond someone else scheduled an appointment there could cause performance issues. David put in preventative measures to ensure the system catches that collision before it ever affects your speed.
StrataEMR - David found that a mismatch in email capitalization (like Name@email.com vs name@email.com) was stopping some users from switching between organizations when using multiple StrataEMR accounts. He's improved how we normalize this information when switching. Access granted.
StrataEMR - Elise did some digital dusting on the Speed Test page, removing a few outdated server options to keep our diagnostic tools accurate and lean.
